Basic (but not #basic) Beauty Buys

I am a minimalist when it comes to my beauty routine; I like to keep things simple, and I like to look natural. Now, that does not mean I think you, or anyone who chooses to wear makeup and/or use beauty products, needs to follow my example. If everyone kept it natural, we would never have had Twiggy's lashes, or Brigitte Bardot's cat-eye, or even Bowie's eye (and face) shadow.

Everything.

Sexiest human of all time or nah?

Do I want to marry him? Or be him?

I LIVE for those looks. Day-to-day, though, I only strive to look fresh, youthful, and maybe like I slept for more than 5 minutes (rarely achieved). Here's a brief glimpse into the products I use on the reg. If you're intrigued, give one of them a try! I'm almost always pleasantly surprised when I use new products: either I learn what REALLY doesn't work for me, or what does. Win-win, right? Right. Without further ado...

Aquaphor Lip Repair and Protect with SPF 30- $4.99, available at any drug store
Tend Skin Liquid Solution- $14.00, available at most drug stores
Almay Smart Shade CC Cream Complexion Corrector- $10.49, available at Ulta
Borghese Nourish Eye Treatment- $24.00, available at Target
Jergen's BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream- $12.99, available at Ulta
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer- $9.99, available at CVS

Other non-pictured essentials:
Verb Dry Shampoo (LIFE-SAVER!), $14.00
Physician's Formula Super BB All-in-1 Cheek & Lip Beauty Balm, $6.95 (available at CVS)
Benefit Brow Zings, $32.00 (available at Sephora)

Now this might seem like a lot. Truthfully, if I've got the under-eye concealer to lessen the deep crescents beneath my eyes, the lip repair (as my lips get tragic in the winter), and the Benefit brow definer (because bold brows are always chic), I'm good. The rest is just maintenance.

Stay good-looking, friends.
