Wish I could sip coffee in bed aaall day...

In honor of the first intense snow at Cornell (blame global warming for its tardiness), and in the spirit of finals week procrastination, I present to you a poem I wrote. It was inspired by senior year nostalgia (already kicking in), and my love of Robert Frost.

Stay Warm!
Meghan

First Snow
The wonder of your feet
the first marks
on an untouched bed of white

tread lightly!
the snow
though
blinding in its brilliance
is so easily made
unpure

soon the students’ shuffled steps
carelessly trek
through the once-white way

Ah, Mr. Frost, how right you were
Nothing gold— nor white— can stay...
